Make sure you have thoroughly checked each item as though YOU were going to purchase it. Check for stains, holes, missing parts, etc. These items are unacceptable. Please thoroughly clean baby equipment, including washing fabric covers to car seats and strollers to make sure your items have a great chance of selling. Clothing must be smoke free and pet hair free. Many children suffer from severe allergies and we must be strict with this rule. We have the right to reject any items we feel do not match these guidelines.
Pricing must end in the dollar or half dollar with NO items priced below one dollar (example...1.00 or 4.50)
To make tagging as easy as possible, gather all of your tagging supplies along with your items to be priced into one area. You will need:
- Enough copies to tag each of your items. White index cards cut in half work great and are inexpensive.
- Scissors or a paper cutter to cut index cards
- Long cable ties to connect shoes together and large safety pins to connect your tags to any other items Cable/electrical ties are available in electrical/ hardware dept. of Home Depot, Lowes, and Wal-Mart.
- Black or Blue pens. Please do not use thick markers or other color pens. Descriptions can be hand written, the below tag is just and example.
- Ziploc bags for toys, socks, bibs, like new undergarments and puzzles only! (please secure a tag to the inside of the bag so your tag can be easily removed without tearing the bag.)
- Masking or painters tape for attaching tags to books and game/puzzle boxes (in some cases this kind of tape is easier for buyers to remove without tearing their item)
- Fill out consignor tags with all required information, to ensure your items and profits aren’t mishandled.
How to properly label your tag:
1.) Your Consignor id # should be written clearly on the top left corner. If your item has multiple pieces, please mark accordingly. “1 of 2 pieces” or “1 of 3 pieces.”
2.) Please include a brief description of the item should the tag become removed from the item and we need to match it to the item.
3.) Include your competitive price. (Remember to highlight the price if you wish to sell the item for half off during the half off sale on the last day. ONLY use a pink highlighter. This keeps any questionable items off the sales floor.)
*If your price is not highlighted we will not reduce the price of your item and shoppers can still purchase it at full price. Just remember that shoppers look for highlighted items on the last day of the sale and chances are if it is not highlighted, it will not sell.
4.) On the bottom, please include either a “D” for Donate or a “ND” for No Donate.
Easy as that!
**If you decide that you don't want to donate your items, please be prepared to
come help sort your items promptly at the end of the sale. If your tag is left blank your item will be donated. Thank you.
